Since our inception in 1952, Pomares & Co., LLP has specialized in accounting for the automotive industry.  Dedicated over the last five decades to providing the highest quality personal services, our firm has acquired the largest dealer base in the Central Valley region of California, providing services to approximately 100 dealerships.  In addition, we have clients in Southern California and in several other western states.  

Pomares & Co., LLP is composed of individuals who have made a strong commitment to the relationships they maintain with their clients. While we are a full service accounting firm, the majority of our clients are automotive dealerships.

 

 All of our partners and staff are experienced in automotive accounting. This specialization allows us to better serve our dealer clients by keeping up with the latest issues impacting the industry. Our clients’ changing needs are continually being evaluated in order to assist them in making sound economic decisions to ensure the long term stability necessary to reach their highest personal financial goals.  Accordingly, we are able to provide timely, efficient and accurate services to our dealer clients.
           
Pomares & Co., LLP has been a member of the Auto CPA Group since 1988. The Auto CPA Group is a National Association of Certified Public Accountants who specialize in services to automobile dealerships, and is patterned after the dealers’ 20 group concept. The Auto CPA group affords us access to the expertise of CPA firms providing services to over 1,500 dealerships across the country.
         

Pomares & Co., LLP has acquired or developed the latest software for the preparation of tax returns, LIFO computations, financial statement analysis and operational analysis for its' dealer clients.  In addition, we have on staff a former Automotive CFO which allows us to offer services in addition to those of traditional accounting firms.
           
Having been active in the growth of the Sacramento community since our inception in 1952, Pomares & Co., LLP has continued to maintain steady growth as well as a loyal commitment to serving our community.  Our firm members have played active roles in such varied community organizations as The Better Business Bureau, United Cerebral Palsy, Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, various Rotary Clubs, La Familia Counseling Center, Central Valley New Car Dealers Association and the Jesuit High School Board.

Blending individual personal planning with the necessity of business planning, Pomares & Co., LLP offers a staff of Certified Public Accountants with the broadest knowledge and experience to assist our clients in areas of tax, financial and management consulting, as well as corporate bookkeeping services.  Committed to maintaining the highest level of technical expertise and the most current professional information, firm members continually enhance their education and skills through formal training for professional development as well as in-house training programs presented to the staff on a regular basis.  As a member of the Private Company Practice Section (PCPS) Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, we must undergo Peer Reviews every three years to determine that we are operating in accordance with the professional standards and guidelines established for membership in the PCPS Division.
